Perle D'Or
(Polyantha)

Quite one of the best of the polyantha roses, producing exquisitely pretty little flowers in light artistic clusters. Very suitable for buttonholes or house decoration, and also for bedding and massing. It will thrive in almost any soil and situation, and makes a pretty specimen plant when grown in a pot. Introduced in 1883.

Queen of Spain
(Hybrid Tea)

A rose of robust habit with large, full, and globular flowers, which require a hot summer to be seen at their best. An exhibition rose only, and not suitable for either garden or house ornamentation. It will thrive best in a light loam soil. Awarded the gold medal of the national Rose Society, 1907.

Richmond
(Hybrid Tea)

The flowers are medium in size and perfect in shape, with high pointed centre, lacking in substance, and therefore seen at their best in a cool wet season. An excellent variety for pot culture, being free and continuous blooming, producing its flowers on long erect stems. Introduced in 1905.

Ulrich Brunner
(Hybrid Perpetual)

Flowers are very large, and without exception perfectly formed; produced abundantly and continuously upon almost thorn-less stems, with beautiful mildew-proof foliage. In habit of growth it is erect and very vigorous, thriving in almost any soil, but for preference a rich unctuous loam. Introduced in 1881, it is an indispensable exhibition rose.

William Allen Richardson
(Noisette)

A delightful buttonhole rose in the bud state, with climbing habit of growth. It is very floriferous, and an excellent rose for growth. It is very floriferous, and an excellent rose for growing in conservatories or against walls with a south-west aspect. Color varies according to climatic influence, and is deepest when grown on a light gravelly soil. Introduced in 1878.
