Grand Duc Adolphe De Luxembourg
(Hybrid Tea)

A charming and distinct decorative rose. Very free in habit of growth, making large bushy plants which produce an abundance of bloom. Suitable for massing in beds, and being hardy, may be planted in almost any position. Should be sparingly pruned. Introduced in 1893.

Hiawatha
(Wichuraiana)

This, as the name implies, is and American rose, and was introduced into this country in 1905. For arches, pillars, or pergolas it is magnificent, and being late flowering it may be planted side by side with an early flowering variety, to prolong the flowering period of the arch or bower. Very hardy and strong growing, should b4e sparingly pruned.

J. B. Clark

Introduced in 1905, this is undoubtedly one of the finest red roses in its section. The flowers are large and finely formed, with perfect pointed centre. In habit of growth it is very vigorous, and may be successfully grown as a pillar rose, or pegged down. Severe pruning should be avoided, unless required for exhibition purposes.

Jessie
(Polyantha)

An ideal rose for bedding, massing, or for pot culture. The flowers are produced in large clusters, and their bright cherry crimson coloring does not fade. The plant is of dwarf habit and requires very little pruning. Introduced in 1909, it will become very popular when better known. One of the best of its color in the Polyantha section.

Juliet

A rose for bedding purposes or for exhibition, bearing blooms of distinct coloring and slight perfume. In habit of growth it is fairly vigorous and requires close pruning when grown for exhibition purposes. Introduced in 1910 and classed as a hybrid briar, and is therefore quite hardy. Owing to its distinct coloring it is at present very popular.
