Frau Karl Druschki
(Hybrid Perpetual)

This rose was introduced in 1901, and is the grandest white rose in cultivation. The flowers are very large, perfectly formed, with high pointed centre. An exhibition and garden rose for all soils. Vigorous in growth and free-flowering, it was awarded the Nickerson Cup as the best rose in the Hybrid Perpetual section sent out since 1900.

General Jacqueminot
(Hybrid Perpetual)

Quite one of the best red roses, either for exhibition or garden ornamentation. In habit of growth it is vigorous and erect, the flowers being produced freely and continuously throughout the summer. It was introduced as far back as 1853, and still remains among the most popular roses of the present day.

General McArthur
(Hybrid Tea)

A garden rose which is useful for all purposes; being free growing, hardy and very free flowering, it may be used for bedding, or grown as a standard-in which form it makes an excellent head. Is very highly perfumed, and a rose well worthy of its present popularity. Introduced in 1905.

Georges Pernet
(Polyantha)

A charming little rose producing compact cluster of miniature flowers throughout the summer and autumn. Being dwarf in its habit of growth, it is most useful for edging round beds of stronger growing roses, and requires very little pruning. It forms a pretty specimen plant when grown in a pot for conservatory decoration. Introduced in 1888.

Gloire De Dijon
(Tea)

For walls or situations with a bleak aspect this rose is almost unequalled. The flowers are produced continuously throughout the summer. When planted against a wall, the roots should be inserted at least 12 inches away from the foundations, and in dry weather, like all other climbing roses on walls, it requires to be watered once a week. Introduced in 1853.
