Blanc Double De Coubert
(Japanese)

A very striking Japanese rose with a delightful perfume. The plant is free-flowering and vigorous, making a bush from 3 feet to 5 feet high. Suitable for growing in shrubberies and borders or any shady situation. Unlike many of the other roses in this section, it produces no seed pods or hips in the autumn.

Captain Hayward
(Hybrid Perpetual)

This grand rose is a descendant of the "Triomphe de l'Exposition" race, and although introduced in 1893, still remains among the leading and most popular roses of this section. For exhibition or bedding it is excellent, and revels in a cool season.

Caroline Testout
(Hybrid Tea)

Without doubt the best Hybrid Tea rose yet introduced. Whether for exhibition or decoration, it is always good, and, wet or fine, its well formed globular flowers are produced freely and continuously throughout the season. In growth it is vigorous, and will thrive in almost any soil and situation. An excellent bedding rose. Introduced in 1890.

Charles Lefebvre
(Hybrid Perpetual)

A distinct and excellent rose for bedding purposes or for exhibition, producing its velvety crimson flowers abundantly throughout the season. Introduced as far back as 1861, this rose still maintains its popularity, to which its color, perfume, and habit of growth largely contribute.

Common China
(Monthly)

A persistent blooming garden rose, suitable for massing, bedding, or hedges. It is a vigorous grower, and requires very little pruning other than the removal of dead wood, excepting to keep the plant in shape. Will thrive in almost any soil and situation and is therefore quite hardy. Introduced in 1796, it still remains one of the most popular in its section.
